Walpole is abundant with ponds and waterways and has a rich history of factories and mills which resided along the Neponset River and other water spaces. Ducks go further back in our town’s history to the Village Fair, where we all enjoyed fishing for wooden ducks and getting a prize. More recently, ducks have taken center stage on Walpole Day for the Duck Race fundraising event. And, well, because they are just so cute!
