Meet the Ducks

In honor of Walpole’s 300th Anniversary, 5 ducks have made their splash into our town. You can find a duck in North, South, East and West Walpole as well as in the center of our town. The ducks were designed and painted by a group of Walpole High Art Students under the guidance of their Art Director, Sandra Allison. They did an amazing job! Special thanks to Assured Collision for giving them their final shiny protective coating and to Mike Mansen and his dad Paul for moving the ducks throughout our town.

You can read more about the process, in “Making of the Ducks” link.

Join the Summer Duck Adventure

Please take the time to visit these ducks throughout the summer. Take photos of yourselves with the ducks and upload them to us so we can include them in our video montage which will be placed in our time capsule.  And please vote for the duck that you want to appear in our 300th Anniversary parade in October!  We’ll post the results Last week in August. The winning duck will be riding on it’s own float.

Have fun!
